about

This was released on CD back in the year 2000. I started recording it in 1999. Some of the songs were re-recorded many years later on my two most recent releases Funky Yummy Mummy (2011) and The Mysterious Stranger (2013).

All the songs were recorded on a Tascam PortaStudio I borrowed from my friend Matt Miklos (Thanks Matt!)

All the music is brought to you by a Yamaha PSR-500 while allowed you to record and save your own patches. Samplers were way too expensive at the time & the album was recorded before Ableton Live. I had to make due with what I had, which was a Yamaha keyboard I borrowed from a friend and never returned. In fact, I believe I sold the keyboard at a yard sale many years later!

My friend Chris Scalzi helped me digitize all the tracks back in 2000, before I had a computer (Thanks Chris!)

My friend Squid is a guest rapper on the really embarrassing song Chutes N Ladders (Thanks Squid!)

IQ I Quit was actually a song from my now defunct band Ernie Tlesby's Mystic Armpit (ETMA).

Let's see, so, this release is a combination of the first two albums I made Yo Mama Wears Combat Boots (horrible title) and Breath Is Bad (equally retarded).

Yo Mama starts with "Hello" and ends with "See Ya" (a concept I recycled for Funky Yummy Mummy).

Breath Is Bad begins with "Street Talk" and ends with the ridiculous "Ode To Breath".

Some of the songs are really embarrassing (American Doody, Yo Wassup, Chutes N Ladders, Technology, etc). Did I REALLY need an Acoustic version of Stop Drop & Roll??? Ugh, I loathe most of this album. 89% of it is filler!!!

Since it was recorded on a cheap 4track the entire album sounds like shit, but you asked for it so here it is!!! I tried cleaning it up as much as possible with T-Racks.

Well, do your best to enjoy the MC Breath album that started it all, recorded when I was only 20 years old!!!
